EQUALITY REPORTS 

The University of Cambridge is committed in its pursuit of academic excellence to equality of opportunity and to a proactive and inclusive approach to equality, which supports and encourages all under-represented groups, promotes an inclusive culture, and values diversity.

The Equality Act 2010, supplemented by the Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties) Regulations 2011, require the University to publish:

  • Equality objectives, at least every four years.
  • Information to demonstrate their compliance with the equality duty, at least annually. This should include information relating to people who share a protected characteristic who are its employees and/or people affected by its policies and practices.

The University of Cambridge's Equality & Diversity Information Report 2022-23  provides information about staff and students.

The Equality and Diversity Information Report also includes the following reports:

The Gender Pay Gap Report is published in accordance with the provisions of the Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties and Public Authorities) Regulations 2017.  Figures can also be viewed on the government’s gender pay gap viewing service.

The Equal Pay Review and the Staff Statistical Information are published in line with commitments made to the Regent House arising from the Second Joint Report of the Council and the General Board on new pay and grading arrangements for non-clinical staff (Reporter, 6002, 2004–05, p. 745; 6012, 2005–06, p. 56).
